MEET THE TEAM
CARL T. POWELL, III
President and State Certified General Contractor
Carl has worked exclusively in South Florida, beginning as an apprentice carpenter in 1977, and progressed “through the ranks” over the years. He joined Suncon Inc. in 1991 and obtained his State License. Carl oversees all day-to-day operations of the corporation including all field operations. Along with Suncon’s project management team, Carl also oversees all project progress and jobsite meetings with clients and subcontractors.
DONNA P. WHALEN
Corporate Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer
Donna joined Suncon Inc. in 1991. She is responsible for all financial dealings along with the safety and human resources aspects of the corporation. Her responsibilities also consist of office management, jobsite safety meetings and compliance with current OSHA safety standards. Donna currently holds a 40 hour OSHA Certification.
Roger has worked in the construction industry for over 35 years in South Florida. He joined Suncon Inc. in 2008. Roger supervises all field operations and is involved in the coordination of all projects. This includes, but is not limited to, managing the relationship with the Owner/Client, Architects, Subcontractors, and Building Departments.
Tim joined Suncon Inc. in 2003. By initiating communication with subcontractors and working with them through the bidding process, he works to find the best man for the job. Tim is involved with plan review and take-off for all projects.
MICHAEL P. LEHMAN
Billing and Contract Administrator
Michael joined Suncon Inc. in 2014. His experience includes over 19 years in the construction industry ranging from office administration to construction administration/management. Michael oversees the day-to-day front office operations, contract administration, purchase orders, requisition preparation, and subcontractor payment distribution.
MATTHEW C. POWELL
Account Manager in Training
Matthew has worked on and off for Suncon Inc. since 2004 fulfilling a variety of jobs. Over the next year Matthew will be shadowing our VP to eventually take over her duties and responsibilities. He is also responsible for making sure the website and technology at Suncon is up and running.
